AMAZON ROBOTICS
In the Summer of 2023, I interned at Amazon Robotics as a Process Engineer. I was an Integral part of multiple manufacturing process optimization projects ranging from $500K to $3 million involving data collection, cycle time studies, root-cause/ problem-solving initiatives, and creation of training modules while partnering with cross-functional teams working with State of the Art industrial mechatronic systems.
iBOT Central Repair
o Led retrofit and upgrade of 380 iBOTs including development and Continuous Improvement of Work Instructions, creation of Tools & Fasteners List, training Operators, and maintaining DfX log to improve build process by 20% resulting in a savings of $100,000+
o Standardized Torquing tools and torquing practices via Work Instructions to reduce Quality Defects during the retrofit repair process.
Transfer Cartesian Cell (TCC)
o Successfully completed prototype build of two off three critical modules (X Carriage. End Effectors) while authoring Work Instructions, procuring, and managing Tool Inventory Spreadsheet, training Assembly Line Operators, and updating DfX logs.
o Conducted cycle time studies of prototype component assembly builds in efforts to improve assembly time.
Frontline Engineering Support
o Troubleshooting electro-mechanical robotic systems for repair and retrofit upgrade alongside associates to standardize best repair/upgrade/maintenance practices.
o Led Root Cause Analysis for troubleshooting in efforts to mitigate blockers for the retrofit repair and preventative maintenance of electro-mechanical robotic systems.
